Having spent portions of their early lives on ferry boats, Lara and John longed to return to island life. After Lara hosted a retreat on Whidbey, she fell in love with the nature, creative community and warm vibe of the island and moved here in 2019.
Lara has hosted airbnb guests in her home for a decade, taught family music classes, run summer camps and grew up around festivals. When the pandemic hit, she knew people would need sanctuaries to recharge - to connect to spirit, nature, music, the arts and perhaps most importantly…to each other.
With the support of her husband John (who loves to throw dance fundraisers) they purchased the old Crawford House. It was remodeled and updated as Langley Retreat in 2021. They hope to steward the land and hosts guests with the highest of intentions.
We hope you find Langley Retreat the perfect place for hosting retreats, special occasions, creative arts events and anything that brings a feeling of connection, wholeness and joy.
We aim to continue the home’s tradition of hosting music and cultural events both for our guests and the larger community - reach out if you are want to host a musical or community event on one of our open days *no accommodation booking required.

GETTING HERE
We are located at 5023 Langley Rd., Langley, Washington 98260
To get here you can take the Mukilteo/Clinton Ferry, or cross over by bridge on the SR 20 through Deception Pass if coming from the North.
From Clinton, stay on Hwy 525 going north. At the first light, turn right at Langley Rd. Continue on to 5023 Langley Rd. We are at the intersection of Maxwelton and Langley Rd. on the right at the slight bend in the road.
To get to Langley Retreat from the north, take Hwy 20 South. Continue south on Hwy 525. At Maxwelton Road turn left. Continue on to the stop sign at the Langley Rd. intersection. We are directly across from the stop sign, slightly to the right.
Just three minutes driving distance from downtown Langley, Washington. On a good day — low ferry traffic — Langley Retreat is also only 40min from Everett and Oak Harbor and an 1hr and-a-half from Seattle!
